Position: Youth Service Worker

Status: Part Time

Hours: Must be flexible with scheduling including weekends and holidays. Schedule is 3rd shift (overnights). Tuition Reimbursement available.

Requirements: High school diploma/equivalent with 3 years post secondary education or 3 years post high school work experience or a combination of, related field perferred. Must be able to certify and maintain all required trainings of the position. Ability to work independently and with various team members, must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and serve as a positive role model. Current and valid Iowa drivers license with a good driving record. Ability to pass required background checks.

Responsibilities: Will work as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team with children/adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting. This position will provide situational/crisis intervention, direct care, client supervision, various housekeeping functions as required and as per policy. Other responsibilities will include various paperwork and documentation and assisting clients with daily routines and age appropriate living skills. Third shift staff will also complete required bed checks, assist clients with morning routines, and the ability to remain awake and alert.
