Community Based Services offer a variety of services to address the safety and well-being of children. These services are generally provided in the family’s home and all services are individualized and based on child and family needs. These services include the following:

 

Remedial Services are provided within the family’s home and are designed to reduce or eliminate behaviors and symptoms associated with a child’s psychological disorder.  To receive these services a child must be eligible for Medicaid and have a diagnosis and an order for remedial services from a licensed practitioner of the healing arts. 

Children’s Mental Health Waiver Services are designed to help a child and family adapt to a child’s mental health diagnosis and allow the child to successfully remain in the family home. 

Safety Plan Services are designed to provide interventions and support to a child and family to help assure the safety of a child while the Department of Human Services conduct a child abuse assessment. 

Family Safety Risk and Permanency Services provide a wide variety of interventions and supports to children and their families referred by the Department of Human Services.  These services focus on assisting children in remaining safely in their family home, returning safely to heir family home, or establishing permanency for children unable to safely return home.
