Since 1879, Tanager Place has touched the lives of many children and families in crises.

Each day, Tanager Place provides a safe and nurturing environment for children in need. Our programs impact 3,000 children and their families each year.

Tanager Place provides psychiatric treatment in both inpatient and outpatient program offerings. These programs receive limited support from state and federal reimbursement dollars. Although these funds continue to decline, the number of children and families seeking professional counsel continues to rise.

Tanager Place relies on community donations and grants to meet 10% of the agency’s 10 million dollar budget. Your support is critical.

Tanager Place administers Camp Tanager
a summer educational and recreational program
for at-risk children. Since 1926 Camp Tanager has provided powerful and positive experiences for children whose economic or medical needs would not allow them to attend summer camp. This program relies 100% on community donations and grants.
