Personal Statement: Music has always been a part of my life. Listening to various genres of music, my first experience making my own music, how I felt when my grandmother played the piano, and how happy music made my dear cousin who was born with Down syndrome paved the path to where I am today. I always knew music would be part of my career, but I wanted to do more than teach it. I wanted to help people experience its power. Its power to support, validate, regulate emotions, and help people communicate. It is such an honor to be able to share what I love with others and to witness the differences being made.
Fun facts about You: I live in Marion with my husband, Matt. We have 5 children; 2 boys and triplet girls. I enjoy running and having the opportunity to be creative whether musically or within the realm of visual arts.
