Personal Statement: I believe a person is more than who is standing before us.Each person is a complex entity that still manages to share a wide range of emotions, or parts if you will. Each of us have happiness, joy, sadness, fears, insecurities, etc.  These parts are  shaped by not only our family we grew up with but also each and every decision we make. Through this process we are shaped and shape ourselves continuously. This includes how we should care for parts of ourselves, even ones we do not like. I believe all of our emotions and parts are inherently good. Even if some people only see those parts as bad, I invite curiosity and hope that we can learn from ourselves and those parts.

Fun Facts About You: I absolutely hate cold anything, this includes but is not limited to winter. I was born in South Africa and grew up between there and Southern California, so yeah, winter.

Why did you choose Tanager Place? I chose Tanager Place because of their reputation within the community. I share similar core beliefs that struck a cord with me. I also believe that working with children can be some of the most challenging and rewarding work anyone can do. It is not until you know a child that you can really start to  understand  a  person.
