Personal Statement: As a therapist, I love working collaboratively with clients and getting to know them as individuals. My passion lies in enhancing people’s strengths and building flexibility and confidence. My ultimate goal for children and families is for them to utilize those inherent strengths and remain resilient through life’s barriers. At bare minimum, I wish for everyone to achieve some level of happiness and balance, and most of all, to know they are worth it!
Why did you choose Tanager Place? : Tanager Place truly wants to see children and families grow and succeed. They have strong community ties and offer a wide variety of services that anybody can utilize no matter how extensive their needs.
Fun Facts about You: : I enjoy varieties of food, traveling, and spending time with my husband. I am also an avid cat lover.
Therapeutic Style: I consider myself open, encouraging, and strength-based. I love to get to know the person behind the presenting problem as I believe everyone has inherent, unqiue strengths that can be used to overcome life’s obstacle.
Education: B.A. in History from the University of Northern Iowa; Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Mercy University
