Behavioral Health Intervention Services

Skill-building services to help children manage their behaviors

Like many parents, you may wonder if your child’s problems are serious enough to require outside help. Our Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) help children who find it difficult to manage their behaviors and need encouragement with:

  • Social skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Communication skills
  • Coping skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Anger management skills

Case workers help you understand your child’s social, emotional and behavioral challenges and provide skill-building interventions that teach your child how to manage their actions.

Get help where it’s convenient for you. We work closely with you in your home or in your child’s school to assess your needs and create customized treatment programs.

Medicaid-eligible children ages 4-20 years can receive BHIS services. Children living with a relative or in a foster home are also eligible for our program.

  • "The road has been full of indecision, difficult systems and roadblocks. Diagnosis and support was found at Tanager Place Clinic. The staff provided resources that we could use in the home and helped us in our son’s school. There are no words to express how grateful we are for all of the Tanager staff’s time, help, wisdom, listening ears and encouragement. Each and every one has touched our son’s life in one way or another and will never be forgotten."
