Tanager Place received word last month that it had officially been accredited by the Council on Accreditation, distinguishing the organization as high quality in all of its capacities.
Through reports filed to the COA and on-site interviews and reviews, Tanager Place joined about 2,000 behavioral health and social services organizations across the United States and Canada as a COA-accredited agency. The COA took into account every part of Tanager Place’s efforts to implement its programs, considering each piece of paperwork on up to its management and administration.

6: Months it took Tanager Place to achieve this accreditation.
7: Seven services offered at Tanager Place were accredited by the COA. They include: Peer-to-Peer, Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS), Pediatric Integrated Health, Systems of Care, Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children (PMIC), Intermediate Care Facility for Intellectual Disability (ICF/ID) and Behavioral Health Clinic.
4: The COA’s accreditation is valid for four years, this time lasting until Feb. 28, 2021.
608: Tanager Place earned perfect scores in 608-of-629 criteria judged by the COA. In the other 21 categories, Tanager Place received the second-best score possible.
