Healthy Fall Festival held at Tanager Place

Tanager Place Pediatric Integrated Health (PIH) Program held its  3rd annual Healthy Fall Festival on Thursday, October 27th. This year we had 47 children from the community attend. Tanager Place wanted to take the time to share the various community agencies that helped make this event possible. We’d like to thank Hy-Vee on Mount Vernon Road, Care Pro (A Avenue location), I Smile, ISU Extension, Kohl’s, UIHC, Katy’s Kids and Operation Diabetes for all that they did. These organizations provided activities for the children to participate in. Examples of these include Halloween sensory boxes, pumpkin decorating, food tasting, and much more!

In addition to the above activities, every child was able to take home their very own personally decorated pumpkin. There were a total of 120 pumpkins donated by Bass Farms and Bloomsbury Farm.

Thank you to Wilson’s Orchard which donated 75 apples to our event for the kids to take home as a healthy treat.

Without the partnerships of these agencies our Healthy Fall Festival would not be a success. Thank you to all who contributed!
