Voices That Move Us: Building Beloved Community with Leonard Burton

Join us for the next Voices That Move Us event on February 11 at Camp Tanager, Hills Lodge, featuring keynote speaker Leonard Burton, President and CEO of the Center for the Study of Social Policy.
(Event time to be announced.) In Building Beloved Community, Leonard Burton invites us to imagine and commit to a society rooted in dignity, equity, and shared humanity. Drawing from his personal journey and decades of work advocating for children and families, Leonard reflects on what it truly takes to create the “Beloved Community,” including the commitment, purpose, and sacrifice required to build a world free from harm, poverty, hate, and hunger. Throughout the keynote, Leonard highlights a powerful truth: community enriches us. When we show up for one another, we become more grounded, more connected, and more capable of creating meaningful change together. With clarity and conviction, Leonard challenges attendees to see themselves as co-creators of the beloved community and the future we all deserve. Participants will leave inspired, accountable, and ready to help make justice, compassion, and belonging real in their own communities.
