Tanager Expands Leadership with Three New Board Appointments

Tanager is proud to announce the appointment of three new members to its boards: Lisa Feuerbach and Nathan Seyfer have joined the Operating Board, and Will Schwickerath has joined the Foundation Board. Their leadership experience, professional expertise, and commitment to community wellbeing will support Tanager’s mission to empower children and families.

Lisa Feuerbach, Executive Director of the Common Sense Institute – Iowa Chapter, brings over 20 years of leadership across federal, state, and nonprofit sectors. As the former Chief United States Probation Officer for the Northern District of Iowa, Lisa is known nationally for her work in evidence-based practices, implementation science, and inclusive workplace culture. Her visionary leadership and dedication to community safety and wellness will be instrumental in guiding Tanager’s mission and organizational culture.

Nathan Seyfer, Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending at GreenState Credit Union, has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and specializes in mortgage lending and financial management. Nathan’s expertise in community banking and client-focused financial solutions will support Tanager’s strategic financial oversight while contributing to a culture rooted in trust, stability, and stewardship.

Will Schwickerath, Trust Officer at Hills Bank, brings valuable knowledge in personal trust administration, charitable trusts, estate planning, and donor-advised funds. With a legal background and focus on philanthropic strategy, Will is well-positioned to strengthen the Foundation Board’s work in resource development and long-term planning—ensuring Tanager’s services remain accessible for generations to come.

The addition of these accomplished individuals strengthens Tanager’s ability to deliver impactful mental health support across Eastern Iowa. Their combined experiences and commitment to service will help guide the organization’s growth, partnerships, and lasting impact in the community.
