Reflect and Reconnect – Journal Prompts for Mental Health Month

Writing can be a quiet form of healing, a space where thoughts become visible emotions, find expression and inner strength begins to surface. Journaling allows us to process challenges, celebrate growth and stay connected to our mental wellbeing.

To support you this Mental Health Month we created a list of 25 thoughtful journal prompts inspired by our 2025 theme Your Story Your Strength.  These prompts are designed to be used by individuals, families, groups or professionals. You do not need to be a writer to use them. You just need a few moments and an open heart.

Ways to Use These Prompts:
• Start your morning or end your day with one prompt
• Use them in therapy support groups or classrooms
• Try one prompt per week with a journal buddy or team
• Create a reflection station at your next wellness event

Why It Matters
Taking time to reflect helps us notice the strength that is already within us. It helps us name our needs and celebrate the stories that make us who we are.

We invite you to share these prompts with your community as part of a journaling activity a wellness challenge or a team reflection practice.
